CUET

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities and other participating institutions. The CUET exam was first conducted in 2022 and will be conducted again in 2024.

CUET Exam Details

The CUET exam is a computer-based test (CBT) that is conducted in a single session. The exam consists of four sections:

    Section 1: Languages

    Section 2: Domain-Specific Test

    Section 3: General Knowledge

    The Language section consists of two parts: English and a second language. The Domain-Specific Test section consists of two parts: General and Subject-Specific. The General Knowledge section consists of questions on current affairs, history, geography, and other general knowledge topics. The Languages section consists of questions on a choice of languages.

    CUET Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible to appear for the CUET exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

      Must have passed Class XII or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.

      Must have a minimum of 50% marks in Class XII or equivalent examination.

      Must be eligible to seek admission to the undergraduate course for which they are appearing for the CUET exam.

    CUET Application Process

    The CUET application process is online. Candidates can apply for the CUET exam through the CUET website. The application process typically opens in the month of February and closes in the month of April.

    CUET Exam Schedule

    The CUET exam is typically conducted in the month of May. The exam schedule is announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in advance.

    CUET Results

    The CUET results are announced by the NTA in the month of June. The results are available online on the CUET website.

    CUET Admissions

    Admissions to undergraduate courses in central universities and other participating institutions are based on the CUET scores. The CUET scores are used by universities to rank candidates and select them for admission.
