The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the premier joint training institution for future officers of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Located in Khadakwasla, Pune, NDA is the first tri-service academy in the world, where cadets of the three services train together before going on to their respective service academies.
Admission to NDA is through a national-level entrance exam conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam tests candidates in Mathematics and General Ability, followed by an SSB (Services Selection Board) interview and a medical examination.
NDA offers a unique blend of academic education, physical fitness, and military training. It instills leadership, discipline, and a deep sense of patriotism in cadets, shaping them into capable officers who serve the nation with honor and courage.
